The SDI Vibecore Mini improves sampling methods in areas with shallow water saturated sediments. This core sampler is a light, high frequency, hand held sampler unlike anything else on the market. It can acquire a nearly undisturbed sample. This core sampler has greatly reduced sample compaction that is standard with push core sampling. This results in a better vertical results of the sediments penetrated. Therefore, it provides better results than standard coring methods.

A rechargeable 24vdc portable battery pack powers this portable sampler. A 3 position switch gives the user momentary/off/latching controls.

Along with the standard “hand-held” configuration, SDI offers accessories to widen the versatility of this unique sampler. The “Pole Version” adds modular 5ft extensions to the sampler. Up to (3) 5ft segments are attached allowing for a 15ft reach for coring locations with limited access. In addition, the portable sampler has a cable version. This option allows the sampler to be deployed from a water craft up to 100 feet water depth. SDI’s float weight kit adds vertical stability to the core’s penetration into the sediment.

The Vibecore Mini A-Frame is ideal for mounting to the deck of a pontoon boat for core sampling with the “Mini”. In addition, The Land A-Frame is a portable, lightweight tripod that makes land coring a one-man operation.
